I don't find anything wrong with people using Facebook or online sites to find dates and I believe there are many great sites such as Party with Me to help with that.

For myself, I would rather meet someone IRL before using online tools to continue building the relationship which may/may not lead to dating.

I remember a buddy of mine tried on of his pickup lines at a bar.

Guy has cup of ice walks over to attractive girl.
Guy dumps ice on floor and proceeds to crush it
Guy to Girl: Now that I have broken the ice... blahblahblah
    Girl giggles.
Girl's Boyfriend comes up behind Guy and says Hi.
Guy makes some conversation and walks away.
    We laugh at Guy

    lol

Though I did go on a couple dates from Facebook. 1 was a nightmare, other was pretty cool.

Other than that I met my current girlfriend (of 10 months and going strong) on PlentyOfFish.com and we're loving every moment together!

Oh if I did not meet my girlfriend online we both doubt our paths would have ever crossed, as we're part of two completely industries and we would have missed out on so much life experiences like we've had so far too.

some of these pickup lines are really funny. I'm sure most of them do not work.

unbeleivable people actually use such lines. No wonder they hide behind the screen.
